Health Innovations Now Offering Monkeypox Vaccines to Eligible Patients

As of July 23, 2022, the World Health Organization has now designated the current monkeypox outbreak to be a global health emergency. The Massachusetts State Department of Health has authorized Health Innovations to begin providing the JYNNEOS monkeypox/smallpox vaccine to those who meet certain eligibility requirements. Please note that vaccine doses are limited at this time, and are available for those with a known exposure, or who are high risk for exposure, to monkeypox. As more vaccine becomes available and recommendations continue to evolve, eligibility may be expanded to include additional groups.

If you are interested in receiving the monkeypox vaccine, please contact Kevin Myers, NP at (339) 987-1956 to discuss eligibility and schedule an appointment at one of our clinical sites. If you are redirected to voicemail, please leave a message with your name and phone number, and someone will get back to you soon. Demand for this vaccine is currently very high, and phone lines have been busy, but we will contact you as soon as we can.

Please note that Health Innovations is not able to offer testing for monkeypox at this time. If you are currently experiencing symptoms of monkeypox (fever, prominent fatigue, flu-like symptoms, rash, skin lesions, and/or swollen lymph nodes,) please contact your primary care provider and request an appointment for further evaluation and testing.

Health Innovations continues to offer free and confidential screening for HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis for all clients. Should you visit us to receive a monkeypox vaccine, please don't hesitate to inquire about our testing services. Learn more about our testing services here.
